Atera

The pricing flip that broke into the MSP tool market
👤 Gil Pekelman (Firewall-hardware founders, not IT insiders. They won on a pricing bet - a flat per-technician fee incumbents couldn't match.)🌐 siteLinkedIn

The winning idea wasn't the software - it was refusing to meter MSPs by the device.

Will it work? · our read
Priced to win. A pricing wedge, not a tech edge: Atera undercut per-device incumbents with a flat per-tech fee, reaching est. $32.7M ARR. The same model caps what any one account can pay.

ARR is a third-party estimate; customers and valuation are from Atera's own raise announcement. Latka
Never disclosed; $32.7M is Latka's 2024 estimate (up from $15.8M in 2023). Atera hid revenue even in its $500M raise.

Revenue is an ESTIMATE. Atera has never disclosed revenue - it hid the figure even in its 2021 $500M raise - so the headline $32.7M ARR (2024) is Latka's estimate, up from $15.8M (2023); treat it as directional. First-party and verified from Atera's own PR Newswire release: the $77M Series B, half-billion valuation, Tel Aviv HQ, and 'over 7,000 customers in over 90 countries'. The per-technician / unlimited-devices pricing model is confirmed on atera.com/pricing, which I opened (HTTP 200, 'per technician' and '/tech' present); exact dollar tiers are injected by JavaScript, so I do not assert them. A Pulse 2 interview cites 12,000+ customers / 120 countries - more recent but third-party, so I used the conservative first-party 7,000+/90+. No manufactured drama: Atera won on a pricing-model insight plus self-serve go-to-market, not a documented fight. verified:false because the revenue figure is an estimate, not company-stated. We never score you.
