A roll-up of ten online auction sites: it takes a cut of every lot won online, then sells payments and shipping on top.

Will it work? · our read
Owns both sides. A two-sided moat with a rising take rate. But GMV depends on discretionary art and surplus spend, so revenue falls when the cycle turns, and growth leans on acquisitions.

Revenue $190.2m is FILED: ATG PLC's audited FY25 results announcement (LSE RNS, year ended 30 Sep 2025) prints 'Revenue up 9.2% to $190.2m'. GMV $3.3bn and adj. EBITDA $76.8m are on the same release. GMV is what buyers paid across ATG's ten marketplaces, NOT ATG's revenue — ATG kept about 6% (our read: $190.2m / $3.3bn; ATG's own blended take rate is reported at 4.8% on a segment basis). ATG separately cites 'over $12bn' of goods facilitated a year (a broader listed/facilitated-value metric, not GMV) — not used here. John-Paul Savant is CEO from Feb 2016, not a founder; the online-auction business traces to Antiques Trade Gazette (1971) with live bidding launched 2006. verified: first-party audited results.
