Will it work? · our read
Distribution won. Doug built a 5M-fan YouTube audience, then launched an auction site rivals must pay to match in demand. He took $37M from Chernin. The fee is capped and the brand is him.

Company revenue is not disclosed. The Publish Press (Sept 2025) reported '$675 million in revenue and over 30,000 cars sold' — but $675M / 30,000 = about $22,500 per car, i.e. the value of cars sold (GMV), which the outlet mislabeled as revenue. On a 4.5-5% buyer fee capped at $4,500-$7,500, our read of actual company revenue is roughly $25-30M/yr (about 14,000 cars/yr at an average fee near $1,900). Doug DeMuro took $37M from The Chernin Group in 2023 (also cited as an about-$40M majority-stake sale on My First Million). Fee structure verified on The Autopian (Feb 2025); GMV/cars-sold figures come from press, not company filings. verified:false. We never score you.
