CrazyLister

A listing tool is only as big as the marketplace beneath it - and eBay's has been shrinking for years.
Will it work? · our read
A freedom business. Two elite eBay sellers turned their listing obsession into clean software and timed the 2017 active-content ban well. But the tool lives or dies with eBay, so it peaked and slid.

Victor Levitin, "The Business That Bought My Freedom" - founder states $2M/yr revenue (peak).CrazyLister homepage - "over 100,000 retailers" and plans "from $20/mo".CrazyLister founder interview - origin, eBay 2017 active-content ban, mobile listings, $5M/yr eBay store sales.Latka: CrazyLister - est. $860K 2024 revenue, 3.5K customers, $600K raised.Mixergy interview with Victor Levitin - fixing an eBay listing problem, confirms $5M/yr eBay store sales at about 7% margin.
Revenue is first-party but retrospective and contested. Founder Victor Levitin writes on his Substack that CrazyLister 'grew to $2M a year in revenue' against a declining market - that is the headline, sourced STATED to him. Third-party Latka estimates far lower: about $860K in 2024 across roughly 3,500 paying customers at about $246 ACV (which reconciles internally). I found no audited figure, and both founders have since moved to new ventures (Diptera.AI, SMT Labs), so the number is flagged and verified:false. The 100,000+ retailers and '$20/mo' are from the live homepage; origin details (the CrazyLister blog interview and the Mixergy interview both state the pre-CrazyLister eBay store did about $5M/year in sales at roughly a 7% margin, eBay sending sellers to them, the 2017 active-content ban tailwind) are from Levitin's own interviews. Competitor bars are our read of reach, not revenue. We never score you.
