IRIS RegTech Solutions

The mandate is the moat
👤 K. Balachandran (Co-founder/CEO, board of XBRL India. He and late founder Swaminathan sat on the govt XBRL committee that set the mandate.)🌐 siteLinkedIn

When the SEC and EU forced XBRL filing, the firm that helped shape the standard already sold the tool.

Will it work? · our read
Mandated demand. Profitable, growing 23% on rules the founders helped write. The catch is scale: a BSE small-cap with lumpy, regulator-led deals, not a mass-market SaaS.

Revenue is FY25 (year ended Mar 2025) consolidated operating revenue, Rs 125.97 crore (the source page states ₹12,597 lakhs; 100 lakh = 1 crore, so this is the same figure), from IRIS's FY25 results press release carried verbatim by a PTI wire feed — the page itself discloses 'no editorial input from The Wire.' That makes it the company's own numbers relayed by a wire service, so STATED, not FILED; no filing document was read, and screener.in (which does host the BSE/NSE filings) is a secondary source only. USD about $15M converted at roughly Rs 86/$ (company reports in rupees). Total income was Rs 128.51 Cr; net profit Rs 13.25 Cr (+51% YoY). Screener shows a standalone 'sales' line of Rs 110 Cr for FY25 — I used the consolidated operating-revenue figure the company reported, not verified against the filing itself. Founder & CEO S. Swaminathan (1962-2025) died in 2025; co-founders K. Balachandran (now CEO) and Deepta Rangarajan (COO) run it, both documented XBRL standards-body members. Metric tiles (30 regulators, 6000+ enterprises, 1.5M filings) are company-stated on its own site, not audited. Verified against company-issued press release, not an audited filing. We never score you.
