In 2009 campsites were the holiday nobody could book online. Yates spent 15 years signing them up one by one.

Will it work? · our read
Boringly profitable. Net assets grew from £6.4M to £9.6M in one year, on filings that hide turnover. But the demand arrives through search, and Pitchup has never said what that costs.

Statista Rankings, Europe's Long-term Growth Champions 2026 (FT partnership) - rank 122: revenue €10.84M (2024) vs €0.74M (2014), CAGR 31.42%, 46 staff, founded 2009 (search "Pitchup" in the company filter). Revenue verified by company management per Statista's published methodology.pitchup.com/join - "We take a 15% commission on the bookings we send your way"; free to list, no tie-in; also states "£500 million in holidays so far booked on Pitchup.com."pitchup.com/about - 6,475 sites signed, 16m holidaymakers from 178 countries, up to 570,000 visits a day.GB News (Jul 2026) - £500m of bookings and 44m bed nights since launch; Yates on hitting 25% of southwest campsites and his father's recurring "is this actually going to work?" during quarterly VAT visits.Companies House 06636463 - FY2025 net assets £9.64M, up from £6.40M; P&L exemption taken, so turnover is not filed.
Revenue is STATED, not filed. €10.84mn (€10,840,366 precisely) is Pitchup's own 2024 figure in Statista's Long-term Growth Champions database, rank 122, published in partnership with the FT; per Statista's own methodology page, revenue is verified by company management, not an independent audit. It cannot have come from filings: Pitchup takes the Companies Act exemption from publishing a profit and loss account, confirmed in the FY2025 iXBRL, so no turnover is public. The $11.7M is our conversion at the ECB 2024 average (1.0824 USD/EUR) - the ranking prints euros (Statista standardizes all submissions to one currency), Pitchup submitted pounds. The £500M is bookings handled since launch, money campers paid campsites, and is NOT revenue; it is stated on Pitchup's own join page, and GB News's headline separately calls it a "£500m empire", which it is not. Site counts conflict: Pitchup says 6,475 signed, GB News says 5,648 listed - we used Pitchup's own. Ownership: Yates was the 75%+ controller until July 2025, when Plan A Holdings Ltd took over; Companies House lists Yates as that holdco's 75%+ controller too, so it is a restructure, not a sale. His LinkedIn would not open (HTTP 999), so it is not linked. No drama in the business model: Pitchup won on 15 years of patient supply-signing and search position, not one clever stroke. We never score you.
