Podsqueeze

AI podcast repurposing · Lisbon · bootstrapped, no funding
👤 Tiago Ferreira (Lisbon software engineer who had already recorded 280-plus build-in-public podcast episodes before selling to podcasters.)🌐 sitewannabe-entrepreneur.com𝕏

An $8.99 entry price and a founder who was the customer turned a #2 Product Hunt day into $16k MRR.

Will it work? · our read
Audience first. The code is copyable; 280 episodes of trust are not. Podsqueeze launched into an audience Tiago had spent two years building, then undercut the incumbents on price.

The 70,000 figure is the company's own marketing claim, not an audited count.
His own podcast archive announced $100,000 in annual revenue back in June 2023.

Every figure here came from a page fetched as raw HTML and string-matched, not from a search snippet. Verified in bytes: "70,000 content creators" on the homepage, "monthly revenue of $11,000 in five months" and "#2 product of the day" on podsqueeze.com/media, the $8.99/$49/$89 tiers on the pricing page, and episode #299 "Podsqueeze just hit $100,000 in annual revenue!" in the founder's own archive. The headline $16k MRR is printed on the Indie Bites episode page for a September 2024 interview with Tiago, but the sentence is the host's copy describing the founder, not a quote from Tiago, so verified is false. Two caveats a reader deserves: the number is from 2024 and the company has published nothing newer that we could reach - the founder's podcast archive stops at episode #334 in April 2024 - so today's revenue could be higher or lower. Also, "$100,000 in annual revenue" in June 2023 is the episode title's wording; we could not confirm whether it meant trailing revenue or an annualised run rate, so it sits in revLine rather than in the headline. The 70,000 creators is marketing copy, not an audited count. No drama in this story: it is a founder who built an audience for two years, launched on Product Hunt, and priced below the incumbents. Product Hunt's own page (fetched via a summarising tool, so treated as weaker) gave the launch date of 29 March 2023 and 549 upvotes; only the rank is corroborated by first-party bytes and only the rank is on the card. We never score you.
