👤 Dan Uyemura (Myspace front-end dev who opened his own CrossFit gym in 2010, hated the software, and built his own. His exact customer.)🌐 siteLinkedIn

A Myspace dev opened a CrossFit gym, hated the software, and spent 5 years building the one gym owners now refer.

Will it work? · our read
Owner-built. Dan sold to people exactly like himself and out-supported rivals built for spas. Five slow years to $1M ARR, then a free tier plus payment fees pushed it past $10M.

Revenue is STATED, not filed: on the SaaS Club podcast (ep. 414, 2024) Dan Uyemura put current ARR at 'below 20 million, but above 10' (low eight figures), so the card headlines '$10M+ ARR'. Gym count 3,500 is his figure on that episode; PushPress's own site now says 5,000+ businesses and 1M+ member check-ins. Pricing tiers ($159/$229) and the 4.99%/2.75% payment rates are from the live pricing page. A 2020 Mixergy interview corroborates the climb (he cited about $1.5M ARR then). PushPress has raised roughly $31.75M (through Series B), so it is funded, not bootstrapped. Rivals' bars are our read of reach, not revenue; Mindbody is Vista-owned, Zen Planner is Daxko-owned. First-party founder statement, not audited. We never score you.
