ServiceCore

Software for porta-potty, septic & dumpster haulers
👤 John Gadeken (Co-founder and CRO. Built QuickBooks-synced routing and billing for a waste niche too unglamorous for horizontal tools to learn.)🌐 siteLinkedIn

A market too gross and too small for VCs to chase. ServiceCore owns it, then bought its main rival.

Will it work? · our read
Owns the niche. A maximally unglamorous vertical—porta-potties, septic, roll-off dumpsters—with real money and thin competition. ServiceCore built the deep tool, took $54M, and bought its rival.

ServiceCore does not disclose its own revenue. The headline $400M+ is customer billing processed through the platform, publicly stated by its growth investor Mainsail Partners in a 2025 case study — it is NOT ServiceCore's revenue, and revenue.label says so. The metric tiles (3.5M+ jobs, 550K+ units, $54M invested Feb 2022) come from that same fetchable case study. A third-party estimate of ServiceCore's own revenue (Latka, about $3.4M) is unreliable and unconfirmed, so it is not used. Founding year is reported variously 2015 (Mainsail) to 2017 (Crunchbase/Latka); 2016 used as the midpoint. Pricing (about $99-499/mo) is third-party, not vendor-confirmed, and flagged as such in rivals. Docket acquisition (2023) and Inc. 5000 ranks are documented. No first-party revenue figure exists, so verified:false. No manufactured drama; ServiceCore won on vertical depth plus M&A consolidation. We never score you.
