A developer annoyed by manual pet-sitter booking built the back office 4,500+ pet-care firms now run on.

Will it work? · our read
Owned the niche. A textbook small-market SaaS: unglamorous, bootstrapped, indispensable to pet-care operators. Too niche for VCs, so no funded rival chased it. Result: a clean sale to DaySmart.

Revenue was never disclosed first-party. Time To Pet is bootstrapped (no VC) and was acquired by DaySmart on Feb 5, 2024 with terms undisclosed. The headline 4,500+ businesses (homepage) and $1B+ generated (pet-sitting-software page) are Time To Pet's own STATED site figures; the $1B is revenue their CUSTOMERS billed through the platform, NOT Time To Pet's revenue — labeled as such. Latka lists about $1.9M revenue / 17 staff (2025) but explicitly states it never interviewed the company, so that is a third-party estimate, not first-party; I did not headline it. Founders Kyle Thielk and Mike Grenier confirmed via the About page and LinkedIn; both now hold pet-technology roles at DaySmart. Pricing verified on the live pricing page (in-home $25/$50/$40+ /mo; facility $79/mo). Rover figures ($66.2M 2023 revenue; $2.3B Blackstone buyout, closed Feb 2024) are from press and used only as a competitive anchor. verified:false — no first-party revenue figure exists to confirm. We never score you.
