Web Manuals

Aviation document compliance · Malmo, Sweden · bootstrapped since 2012
👤 Martin Lidgard (14 years as founder-CEO, self-funded the whole way - patience a VC-backed rival can't afford in a slow, regulated niche.)🌐 site

Regulators require every operator to keep manuals current and provably controlled. Web Manuals is where they live.

Will it work? · our read
Rules force renewal. Aviation is small, cyclical and slow to buy. But nobody flies on an out-of-date manual, and Sweden AB's filed turnover rose about 2.5x between 2021 and 2025.
01How the money moves
A regulator requires every manual to match current FAA/EASA rules
Web Manuals links each manual line to a live regulation library
Operator pays per editor per month on a 1-5 year term

All three site stats are counter animations that settle at 750+ companies, 100k+ users, 750k manuals published; reading the raw un-rendered HTML catches only the animation's start values, not a real discrepancy. 2.5x is our arithmetic on the filed series (SEK 45,130k in 2021 to SEK 111,640k in 2025). filed accounts
Filed turnover of the Swedish operating subsidiary; the group publishes no consolidated accounts.

Revenue is the FILED net turnover of Web Manuals Sweden AB for the year ended 2025-12-31, read from allabolag's rendering of the Bolagsverket filing (raw HTML, string-checked), not from the annual report PDF, which is paywalled. SUBJECT WARNING: the group runs two Swedish operating entities - Sweden AB (SEK 111.6M) and its parent Web Manuals International AB (SEK 94.1M, 41 staff, confirmed parent via allabolag: "Moderbolaget ar Web Manuals International AB"). They must not be added; intra-group invoicing almost certainly overlaps. Group top First Principles AB reports zero revenue and files no consolidated accounts, so true group revenue is not public and is probably higher than this headline. A trap worth naming: allabolag's summary field shows 113,596 for Sweden AB and 100,999 for International AB - those are total omsattning including other income, not net turnover (111,640 and 94,129). CURRENCY: converted at roughly 9.5 SEK per USD; that rate is not sourced, so treat the dollar figure as approximate - the filing's own number is SEK 111,640 thousand. The "past 10m Euro ARR" line is SaaSiest's wording from March 2024, not a company statement; it triangulates with the filings but does not match either entity exactly. Site scale figures (750+ companies, 100k+ users, 750k manuals) are Elementor counter widgets: their raw HTML carries only the animation's pre-count start values (500/50/500), which a curl fetch or non-JS reader would wrongly print as the headline number; the settled, on-screen value confirmed by running the animation in a real browser is what's used here, and it matches the static hero text exactly (no real contradiction). Founding year 2012 is the Swedish registry date for Sweden AB. Yonder was considered as a rival but its site would not load, so it is not asserted. No documented drama: this looks like execution and patience in a niche nobody else wanted. The "Price the rulebook" framing is [our read]; the prices behind it are on the pricing page. We never score you.
